What Is RSA / ADI Driver instructor training?
To become an RSA Approved Driving Instructor(ADI) in Ireland, you are required to pass a driving
instructor test. This instructor training is designed to take you through each stage of the process and
allow you to successfully pass your RSA / ADI Driving instructor exams.
Who can take ADI instructor training driving lessons?
Any driver who has a full Irish or Full EU drivers licence, and has no restrictions on their current driving
license. Other conditions attached are as follows
· Garda Vetting
· Be Fully Tax Compliant
· 4 Tier Exam System with ongoing assessment
· Your vehicle must have appropriate insurance for carrying out driving instruction
· Your vehicle must be dual controlled
· That your vehicle is fully road worthy, properly maintained and in full compliance with road traffic act
regulations
· That you have not been disqualified from holding a drivers licence, in the state, or by an EC or EEA member
state
What will I learn in the driving instructor programme?
The ADI assessment process is broken down into 4 sections:
Stage 1: ADI driving theory
Stage2: ADI Practical driving skills
Stage 3: driving instruction
Stage 4: Check test (ongoing assessment)
Our RSA ADI instructor training lesson programme will cover all of the above, to make sure you can
confidently and competently sit your ADI assessment.
